Development Work for ESP
Embedded Support Partner (ESP) is a web based application shipped as part of the SGI IRIX Operating System. It helps administrators to monitor and generate reports on system events.
The System Support Tools team explained the challenges with the previous version of their flagship product and I was given the freedom to revamp the navigational structure to reveal and simplify access to its 30 main functionalities.
I had the chance to work on DSP, a homegrown dynamic server scripting language that was embedded within the application web server itself. The redesign resulted in improved usability, navigation and visual appeal.
