Weekend Hikes

Monday, March 15th 2010 — Archived Post

Weather is definitely starting to feel a lot like spring in our neck of the woods. And so we have started going out on short hikes with the kids. Last week, we checked out Little Yosemite in a little town named Sunol, which is near Fremont. The rolling hills have this vibrant hue of green which we expect to last not too long. Alameda Creek is flowing swiftly this time of the year with all the rain from the previous week and it does remind me of the Merced River in the high sierras.

Next day was spent walking around a Palo Alto landmark called The Dish. The radio telescope was built by the Stanford Research Institute in the 1960s which at one point was used to communicate with the Voyager.
